Submit Your Application
Found the right property? We'll ask you to complete a tenancy application and provide your details.
Pay Your Holding Deposit
To reserve the property, you'll pay a holding deposit (usually equivalent to one week's rent). This takes the property off the market while your application progresses.
Referencing
We'll carry out referencing, including employment, affordability, previous landlord (where applicable), and credit checks. If you need a guarantor, they'll complete a separate referencing process too.
Sign Your Tenancy Agreement
Once your references are approved, we'll send you your tenancy agreement to review and sign.
Pay Before You Move In
Before your tenancy starts, you'll pay your first month's rent and security deposit.
Collect Your Keys
On move-in day, we'll hand over the keys, complete the check-in process, and make sure you have everything you need to settle into your new home.

Once you have chosen your ideal home, these costs must be paid
Holding Deposit: 1 week's rent - terms and conditions apply. This will be forfeited if you do not pass referencing or withdraw your application.
First month's rent in advance: less the holding deposit already paid.
Deposit: 5 weeks rent (shared houses - £250 per tenant/per room).
Additional fees that may incur
Payment of up to £50: If you want to change the tenancy agreement, including changing your rent due date
Payment of £50: For lost keys/ security devices
Payment of any unpaid rent or other reasonable costs associated with an early termination of the tenancy.
Where can I report maintenance issues?
Any maintenance issues can be reported directly through the Street App.
What happens to my deposit?
Your landlord must protect your deposit in a government-backed scheme (such as the Deposit Protection Service or MyDeposits) within 30 days of receiving it
Can I be evicted without a reason?
No. The law has abolished "no-fault" evictions. Landlords now need a valid, legally recognised reason to repossess their property and must follow strict notice periods
