About Us
Castle Homes was established in 2019 by the current directors, Craig and Suzanne Walsh. Landlords themselves since the 1990s, Craig was an Army officer for 33 years and Suzanne a primary school teacher before they settled back in the area and retrained as estate agents. They have tried to bring the best of their combined experience into the local property market to provide the best possible service to sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants, building long lasting business relationships, built on mutual trust.
Our business relationships are built on a personal service and dedicated touch, so you know who to talk to and who is working for you!
Having grown steadily over the years, we provide a variety of services to our vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants, and aim to provide unrivalled customer service. We have over 150 properties on our lettings book and that number is growing all the time. We look after small landlords, with just one property to rent out, often their own previous home, through to portfolio landlords with significantly more properties to let. We also manage HMO properties - whether they are student rooms or rooms for professionals.
Though we are based in Darlington, we also cover Stockton, Yarm, Middlesbrough and surrounding areas.
A Trusted Voice in Darlington’s Property Market
Our Managing Director, Craig, was recently invited onto BBC News’ Politics Programme to provide expert commentary on the newly announced Budget. Recognised as Darlington’s local property expert, Craig shared insights on how the Chancellor’s measures are likely to impact the regional housing market, homeowners, landlords and buyers.
His appearance reflects what sets our agency apart: deep local knowledge, honest analysis, and a commitment to helping our community navigate an ever-changing property landscape. Whether national policy shifts or market trends, we stay at the forefront so our clients always receive informed, up-to-date guidance.
